- Citation: 10 N.J.A.R. 608
- Decision Date: 1987
- Agency: CASINO CONTROL COMMISSION
- Synopsis: Atlantic City Showboat, Inc. applied to the Casino Control Commission for a ruling that it was in compliance with the license requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 5:12-84(a), (c) and (d) and that certain of its individual qualifiers met the standards of Sections 86 and 89 (b) (1), (2) and (3). Following a hearing by the Commission, a statement of compliance was issued. Two individual qualifters had been involved in illegal gambling more than 30 years ago. The Commission said, in light of the length of time that had passed, those activities would not necessarily render the individuals unqualified. Both established by more recent behavior that they possessed the requisite good character pursuant to the Casino Control Act. Other evidence relating to the individual quailtiers was found not to reflect adversely on their qualifications.
