State of New Jersey
Executive Department
September 28, 1949
Under the provisions of Chapter 112, Laws of 1944, there has been created an Insurance Bureau in the Division of Purchase and Property of the Department of the Treasury.
In the interest of economy and upon the approval of the State Department of Defense and the recommendation of the Department of the Treasury it is my opinion that all insurance placed by the State of New Jersey should be handled by one agency.
The Department of Defense has heretofore been placing itsinsurance without the use of the facilities of the Insurance Bureau.
THEREFORE, it is hereby directed, effective immediately, that all future insurance placed by the Department of Defense be placed through Insurance Bureau iof the Division of Purchase and Property.
