I, ALFRED E. DRISCOLL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, pursuant to the power and authority vested in me by Chapter 82, P.L. 1948, do hereby appoint Brigadier General Edward C. Rose, 0-102685, New Hersey National Guard, as Acting, The Chief of Staff, Department of Defense, effective 1 June 1948.
